  • Build a dual language CITA certification program

  • Develop a pipeline for teaching assistants for advancement into DL teacher certification

  • Provide a path for that offers all culturally and linguistically diverse students to positively impact society

  • Create greater career opportunities across the country

  • Shape a better future for a globally competitive US

  • Build a base of CITA certified educators in a “grass roots” program

    • Dual language teaching assistants for all schools

    • Peer tutoring to support bilingualism in any language

    • Funding for CITA certified assistants to become DL teachers

Our Mission

The mission is to build a two-year certification program which will allow DL learning “pods” to be used for the delivery of DL instruction in schools across the country. A team of educators and specialists partnering in this mission include: leaders at state, district, and school levels; university educational leadership professors; state licensing specialists; researchers of DL and ESL (English as a Second Language) pedagogy and practice; business and educational legal counsel; community college leaders; DL teachers; and parents and community stakeholders of DL schools.

The resultant degree earned from this training program will be a CITA Certification, which will be equivalent to an associate’s degree in education from State institutions country wide. The intended target population for this program includes anyone who is 18 years of age or older, has academic literacy skills in both English and a second language, and has a strong desire to work with students in K-12 public schools.
