Research Papers and Publications
At CITA Education, our research has branched out to explore the many programs that are being used in schools across the country to address the needs of special populations including Multilanguage learners (MLs), special needs programs, and gifted programs. We are currently involved in studies spanning preschool through high school to find best practices for the academic success of these students. These studies include initiatives in sheltered instruction, language-rich interactive classrooms, the use of translanguaging and bridging of languages and cultures, and the development of a certification program to build a teacher pipeline to support the delivery of strategies for teaching MLs. With over a decade of research on special program pedagogy, we have built a comprehensive knowledge base of best practices and the process of program adoption and implementation.
